To make it easier for the public to purchase local agricultural and fishery products, Fish Marketing Organization and Vegetable Marketing Organization have jointly launched the “Local Fish and Vegetables Direct” website (https://www.localfreshhk.com/), mobile app, and physical retail stores, offering both online and offline shopping services. We process orders and deliver goods daily, allowing the public to purchase fresh agricultural and fishery products from the comfort of their own homes.
About Fish Marketing Organization
Fish Marketing Organization (FMO) was originally established in 1945 under the “Defence Regulations” as a self-financing, non-profit organization. FMO assisted post-war fishermen in resuming production and provided orderly and efficient wholesale services for marine fish to develop the fishing industry and improve the social and economic conditions of fishermen. Subsequently, Fish (Marketing) Ordinance (Cap. 291) of the Laws of Hong Kong, enacted in 1962, provided the statutory basis for the establishment and operation of the FMO. The FMO operates seven wholesale fish markets in Aberdeen, Shau Kei Wan, Kwun Tong, Cheung Sha Wan, Castle Peak, Tai Po, and Sai Kung.
Our mission is to provide the local fishing industry and fish traders with an orderly and efficient marine fish wholesale system and facilities, thereby ensuring a stable and continuous supply of marine fish to consumers in Hong Kong.

About Vegetable Marketing Organization
Vegetable Marketing Organization (VMO) was originally established in 1946 under the Agricultural Produce (Marketing) Ordinance as a self-financing, non-profit organization. It has consistently strived to provide the general public with high-quality local vegetables, such as organic vegetables, and hydroponic vegetables. At the same time, it actively expands sales channels and promotes the development of high-quality local agricultural products through diversified publicity campaigns. Vegetable Marketing Organization operates a vegetable wholesale market in Cheung Sha Wan, Kowloon, providing trading facilities and high-quality services, including accounting, to vegetable wholesalers and buyers.
Our mission is to provide the local community with safe, high-quality fresh vegetables that are consistently available in ample supply, and to support the sustainable development of local agriculture.
