Advisory letters will be issued to "registered farms" with adverse reports or fish products failing any of the QA tests during inspections, and investigations will be carried out and advice given to the farmers concerned. A second inspection or re-examination of fish will be conducted in 14 days.
If the unsatisfactory result is caused by mismanagement of the farmer, or if farms are found to have repeated records of mismanagement or violation of the guidelines (e.g. use of forbidden drugs), AFCD will consider deregistering such farms. Deregistered farms may not market their fish products under the "Accredited Fish Farm" brand name.
